My Students
My PreK scholars are amazing! They are the only full day class in our school. They are eager to learn and love being in school. Our school is very diverse and takes pride in welcoming and engaging all scholars and families. We are committed to creating a school where kids feel safe, loved, and motivated.
As a school, we take pride in creating an environment where we celebrate diversity, discuss and study racial equity, and "inspire all scholars to reach high levels of social and academic achievement, and to become future leaders through a collaborative system of support" (our school's mission statement).
My Project
We learn about life cycle in Pre-K. One of the most favorite science projects in Pre-K is watching caterpillars grow into butterflies. I want to bring this project to life again with my Pre-K scholars.
A butterfly and lady bug growing kit will give my scholars a real life opportunity to watch the changes of life cycles in our own classroom.
I can’t wait to have the opportunity to teach about life cycle with these kits. The puzzles and insects counters will be other ways my scholars can explore life cycles in our classroom by sorting and using problem solving skills. My scholars have so much fun, watching our insects change and grow right before our eyes.
