My Students
As a teacher located in a large city with high poverty, my students face myriad obstacles in their life when it comes to having the basic essentials we sometimes take for granted. However, these limitations do not stop my students in their pursuit of a world-class education. I teach gifted students in an inner-city middle school and they are very mature and have a natural passion for learning new and challenging topics. I call them my Little Engineers as they are experts at the Engineering Design Process.
My students are creative, pensive, self-aware, like to be challenged, and have a positive attitude that will allow them to accomplish all of their dreams and aspirations.
My Project
This year, our School District instituted a mandate that all gifted students must transition to a digital e-learning classroom; meaning that any and all classwork or homework assigned has to be completed on a laptop or desktop computer.
My students are an amazing group of Gifted Gurus and STEM Specialists that really are the best students all around with zeal as well as a voracious appetite for learning new and challenging topics!
Moreover, they are Excellent Engineers that are experts at applying the Engineering Design Process and are extremely motivated and can do anything they set their mind to!
Finally, my students need these ChromeBook Computers to prepare themselves to become College and Career Ready as well as being able to complete all of their required coursework on a laptop as required by our School District.
