Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students come from diverse backgrounds, and many face challenges that most of us can hardly imagine. This project will help provide our students with basic necessities that will enhance their learning experiences: warm jackets for cold winter months and a laptop to bridge the digital divide in our classroom.
As the cold weather sets in, many of our students arrive at school without warm coats to keep them comfortable.
We aim to provide our students with jackets that will keep them warm and comfortable throughout the winter, allowing them to focus on their education without worrying about the cold. These jackets will help ensure that all students, regardless of their economic situation, can experience the joy of playing outside and learning in a warm, supportive environment.
In addition to jackets, we are in need of a laptop to support our students' learning, especially as technology becomes more integral in education. Many of our students lack access to personal computers or tablets at home, and our classroom technology is outdated and limited. With a new laptop, students will be able to engage with interactive lessons, conduct research, and use educational programs to strengthen their skills in reading, math, and other subjects. The laptop will also help our students develop essential digital literacy skills that will serve them well in the future.
