This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are eager to learn daily despite the fact that most of them come to school with little or no school supplies. I focus on providing a fun and creative learning environment. My students are regular education and English as a second language learners and special education students. Most of my students live in single-parent​ homes.

I teach at a Title I school where 100 percent of my students receive free breakfast and lunch daily.

I know I cannot change the struggles they face at home, but I can make sure their lives at school are positive, exciting, and rewarding.

My Project

My kids need beanies, hats and gloves to stay warm. The majority of my students come to school cold. Majority of my students ride the bus and have to wait at the cold bus stop. Staying warm is key to keeping us healthy also. In the middle of a pandemic we need clothing items to protect our bodies from the cold weather.

Warming up during the winter months is important.

Because we are in a pandemic having the kid gaiters will keep us covered inside and outside. My students can use them as mask to keep there mouths covered. They can use them outside to mask up and stay warm.
