This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are a middle school in East Los Angeles, with a student population of approximately 1,300 students. Although our families might not have the most resources, they do what they can to provide the best for their students at home. However, with the school's help, we are able to offer great after-school sports activities for students. With your help, we can help our teams include and recruit more students to our various after-school sports teams. Our students especially enjoy soccer and football, and we would love to help them with their sports needs.
My Project
Students who are in need of essential supplies and clothing will use these jackets to keep them warm during the colder months. Some of our students have to walk to school in the mornings when the weather is uncomfortably cold.
These jackets will help keep our students warm, healthier and learning their best in school!
Sometimes, students families don't have the financial means to purchase a jacket for students who are also growing so rapidly, it's difficult for parents to afford the constant changing needs. Help us to provide our students with jackets and keep them warm this fall and winter.
