This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In this upcoming school year, my students will be second graders who are preparing to be bilingual and biliterate in both Spanish and English. My classroom will be composed of native English speakers and native Spanish speakers who will be supporting each other in their development of both languages.

This year, I want to provide my students with a welcoming, warm, and homey classroom library that will be conducive to their learning.

This year I don't have a bookshelf nor many Spanish books to encourage my students biliteracy. By funding this project you are helping me provide my students with a rich and diverse library that will promote a love for reading.
