My students are mostly first generation Asian-American and Hispanic third graders who are curious, enthusiastic, creative and eager to learn about the world around them.
My third graders crave reading and love learning about science, history and everything about animals!
They immerse themselves in any kind of learning challenge throughout the school year.
My Project
By exposing my students to Scholastic News and Science Spin, they will be exposed to what is happening around the world as well as learning map skills. They will be able to locate the geographical locations on the maps that are provided in each magazine as well as getting a clear picture and understanding of the events taking place.
Science Spin will have them 'think like a scientist' and explore the world of science throughout our planet and beyond our world.
