My Students
My students are progress-oriented. Each child sets multiple goals on a regular basis and they work hard to meet their individual goals.
In my classroom, we celebrate our unique qualities and encourage taking risks and thinking critically.
For each student, their goal is different and they use different means to achieve their goal. At any time, you could come into my classroom and my students will be able to tell you their goal and what they are doing to achieve it.
These kids are special to me.
My Project
This year, we are trying to get back to a sense of "normalcy". For many of my students, this means being back in class with their friends and breaking away from all day computer learning.
As a teacher, I know that students learn best by using hands on materials and collaborating with their classmates.
The 6 sets of VersaTiles will allow my students to work independently, with a partner, or with a small group depending on their preference.
These materials will help reinforce the skills we learn in class by not using a computer or a worksheet. Students will be able to check their own work, which also allows me to work with students on other skills. It's a win-win situation for everyone!
