Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have 24 amazing students who inspire me each day to become a better teacher. These same children are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. They live in a low-income/high-poverty school district. They leave the harsh reality of their life at the door. These children are our future, and despite the many challenges they face, they enter the classroom full of smiles, dreams, and a strong desire to learn. I want to continue to promote and foster a love for reading and encourage lifelong learners.

Help me give my students the essential supplies to organize and provide for their learning next year.

School supplies such as pencils, markers, and highlighters are essential because they equip students with the necessary tools to learn, participate, and succeed in the classroom. Classroom supplies such as antibacterial wipes, water bottles, and tissues will encourage a clean and healthy classroom. They also foster preparedness, enhance engagement, boost self-esteem, and contribute to a positive learning environment. They help to level the playing field for students from different socioeconomic backgrounds, ensuring everyone has the resources they need to reach their full potential.
