This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Learning is essential in life. My students and I strive to be learners everyday! I love to make learning interactive and engaging in as many ways as I possibly can!
I work in a Title I school where I serve as the ELD (English Language Development) teacher to 20 amazing young 2nd graders!
My students come to school often without a backpack or uniform and I know that home life isn't always the best for my students. I try to provide them with a caring, exciting, welcoming learning environment that promotes continuous learning! I like to provide my students with learning opportunities that they might not have elsewhere!
My students are eager to learn, and with the right tools, I know that they can each be successful now and in their future!
My Project
My students will use these whiteboards and markers for daily activities in all subject areas. Students will be able to quickly write down their responses in an easy to see place that will allow me to provide them with immediate feedback. In reading, students can practice answering comprehension questions, listing characters or even sketching the setting of the story. In math, students will be able to quickly solve problems that I can see the answers to and not have to look at every ones unorganized, messy work!
These whiteboards and markers will help my students to stay organized and engaged throughout any lesson. Having a side of the whiteboard lined allows students to practice handwriting, spelling, phonics, grammar, writing... You name it, they can do it on a whiteboard!
Donations will improve my classroom by providing students with a simple way to stay actively engaged in every lesson!
Students will have a spot of their own to show their personal work! Students will be able to manage their own thoughts and participate more frequently throughout the day! It all comes down to engagement+participation+practice=Success!
