Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are an amazing group of fifth graders. They come to school every day full of life and ready to learn. This is a big year for them as they will be graduating and leaving their elementary school to move on up to middle school. They are so excited to begin this next chapter in their lives. It’s my job to provide them with as many tools as I can and prepare them for this transition however this can be a bit challenging.
Not only are we a Title I school but my students come from a predominantly immigrant community where funds and resources are tight.
Most of my students are used to doing without but they never complain. They truly are such a deserving group of kids.
Please help me help my students by providing printer paper and ink for our classroom. There is nothing we use more often on a daily basis. Whether it is to print out regular class work and assignments, student essays or projects, study guides, visual aids which are most important for my English Language Learners, or notes to a parent, this donation will go along way towards providing many of the things we need to successfully make our way through the school year.
