Imagine the possibilities with nonfiction text! We would love to enhance our science unit even more!
I have a wonderful class of 25 second graders!
They are sweet, caring and full of life! They love learning and truly enjoy taking in new information. I teach in a high-poverty area so many of my students have access to reading only when they are at school.
My Project
Twice a year we teach science informational units with nonfiction text. One of our units is on Weather. We have a district provided curriculum; however, I would love these books to further enhance our unit. Some of the books we are given are not grade-level appropriate. The books I would like to get are not only an appropriate level, but there are below level books as well.
These books would be perfect for some of my students who still read at a first grade level.
My hope is that I can tailor my unit to all my students using various levels of books. I am requesting three sets of the books with different levels because there are three second grade classes at our school. Because we team teach during our unit, we need enough for each class to have appropriate materials.
