My Students
My 3rd graders are amazing, there is no better way to say it! Their love for learning and love for life is apparent in the way they interact with each other.
These students love to smile and laugh, and they find many ways to make each other and myself do so every day.
My Project
First off thank you for taking the time to read this! My 3rd graders are so special and mean the world to me, especially as it is my first year teaching! They have gone through a lot during the time they've been in school with Covid, and I would love to give them something to help with their social-emotional wellness, and at the same time some very hands on and applicable ways to learn about STEM!
My students are instinctively curious, passionate, and excited about learning, and as their teacher I feel it is my job to ensure they have the tools to explore.
By being able to have a 3D Printer in our classroom, we will be able to see hands on how Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math can work hand in hand with each other to create amazing things! As an owner of a 3d Printer of my own, I know that many challenges come with these things! It will be a great opportunity for students to work through problems together and eventually end up with a finished product that they can have ownership of!
My students and I also love music, it is constantly playing in our classroom. I am a firm believer that music can be used to teach and remember important things. I took piano lessons for 11 years starting when I was 8 years old, and my piano instructor told me one of my all time favorite quotes. "Music is what feelings sound like." That has stuck with me and I have loved the thought of it ever since! I want so badly to pass on my love for music with my students, and a digital piano would be a fantastic way to do this.
