My favorite thing about Kindergarten is having my students come to me knowing almost nothing and seeing them move on to 1st grade as confident readers, writers and mathematicians. We need dry erase markers to help us reach that goal!
I absolutely love my students!
They come to me eager to learn and hear about our day. They come from a wide variety of backgrounds and bring with them a wide variety of experiences. Our school works together with the community, parents and teachers to provide a quality education for each and every child that walks through the doors.
My Project
I already have dry erase boards and erasers for my class to use, but NO MARKERS! Markers are needed so we can use the boards to help us learn. In small group instruction, we'll use them with dry erase boards to practice writing letters, words, phrases and sentences. In whole group instruction, we'll use them to practice writing numbers and working math problems. And in between, kids will use them to practice their fine-motor skills. Basically, we'll use them all the time!
This project will make a difference because it will enable me to use the dry erase boards I already have.
What good are boards with no markers? Having the markers will mean that I can better use my school resources to provide a deep and quality education to my students. Thank you in advance for helping my students!
