Wanted: A Working Computer!

My students need ONE modern, good, functioning computer in the classroom to help them learn!

My Students

My 4th graders are such a wonderful, energetic bunch! Whatever subject we are learning, they love to utilize technology. We currently have five laptops in the classroom, but only ONE of them works....and that one... is on life support.

I have 26, 4th-grade students.

I currently teach a classroom with a high ELL population. My classroom is also home to many students who come from high poverty households. Many of the students don't have computers at home. The only access to technology is in school, and unfortunately my outdated and broken computers can't support them.

My Project

This laptop will be utilized to the fullest, and I will care for it to make sure it lasts a long time! My kids will be able to conduct research for our Social Studies unit on the American Revolution! They will be able to practice their multiplication facts and division by utilizing our textbooks' online resources. My English Language Learners can hear story books and practice their ABCs online! We can finally use flash drives to type our writing pieces! The possibilities are endless.....
