Every year on the news, you hear about budget cuts that the school district is facing. Luckily, the district has decided to finally invest in the students during this pandemic and shrink the digital divide. However, they have not equipped teachers with the proper technology. Despite, the district not investing in educators during the pandemic, I refuse to allow that to impact the group of students that I teach. We must continue to learn and achieve greatness during these challenging times.
Due to pandemic, recent shift in academic priorities and a growing Diverse Learner class size I need your help!
I need to be able to provide my students with the necessary digital platforms. To accomplish this, I need to have a projector donated to my classroom.
I teach at an awesome inner city school located on the south side of Chicago. I am also lucky enough to teach math to intermediate Diverse Learners.
Many students see my school as a safe and nurturing place due to all of the violence occurring around them daily. I want to continue to provide an engaging learning environment despite the pandemic and all of the other social injustices!
My Project
As we slowly transition back into in person learning, I have noticed that we need classroom projector so, I decided to write a DonorsChoose. The projector is vital to the classroom because it helps meet the needs of the visual learners that I have in the classroom. It is a great tool that will help keep my students engaged in the classroom. During my math classes, I plan on using to help facilitate our Go Math lessons and other mathematic curriculums I use. While using the projector, students are encouraged to go to the board and respond. Also, it makes it super easy to have students follow along.
