My Students

My students are 22 energetic, problem-solving, curious, creative, hard working diverse learners from all parts of the USA. Some students are gifted learners others have IEP and some are homeless along with food insecurities. In spite of challenges they enjoy learning. Science, Math, and English Language Arts are their favorites. They are overjoyed to be in a Brick and Mortar Classroom this year!

Many students are attending school face to face in Florissant, MO for the first time since March 2020 due to the Pandemic.

Ferguson, MO is our neighboring city, site of the 2014 uprising. Some students have experienced trauma related to Covid-19. There is no book store in the city.

The scholars love to share ideas, solve problems, projects, and are eager to learn new things. They enjoy daily reading on EPIC Reading. They also love to learn about STEAM careers, historical events, places, and famous people. Several students want to pursue STEAM careers.

My Project

It takes a village to educate students during a Pandemic! Do you remember the first time you received recognition for showing growth on quarterly Benchmark Testing? Maybe you received an incentive/reward for meeting weekly or monthly goals on Epic Reading, Imagine Math, or Class Dojo Behavior percentages? Meeting goals in our Flamingo Theme Class will earn us individual recognition plus A Class Glow Party and Game Day.

Paper and ink will make certificates, award buttons/stickers, mini puzzle cubes, pop its, Playdough, will be given to students when the goal is met; Cups, glow tape, Jenga, Tic Tac Toe game, glowstick items will be used on Gaming and Glow Day.

The dry erase markers are used to complete assignments and show work during Benchmark Testing and playing games in class during indoor recess.

Students receive incentives as a reward for persevering to meet District's goals in academic, behavior, and growth. With your help students will receive weekly, monthly, and quarterly incentives for meeting milestones. All students who have shown growth are invited to the Game and Glow Day.

Incentives always go a long way with the students, and they are always appreciative. These incentives will have a positive impact on the flock, my students. Please help support my students.
