My students need Pedometer, Fitness Bracelet Wristband to track their daily walking.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Toler's classroom raised $380
This project is fully funded
My Students
My students are young, excited learners with diverse backgrounds. They are always eager to take on new challenges and explore. My students are high achievers, yet, from various different economic backgrounds. Our school is considered to be a school of need according to the number of students that qualify financially for free lunch programs.
My students are very active; therefore, I try to create projects that keep them moving, thinking, and challenging.
With students eager to learn, I definitely want to make sure that I have the necessary resources for them to complete their project.
My Project
This project is kid-inspired because my students believe tracking their daily steps through walking and running will help motivate them move their bodies to stay physically healthy. It is important that students are active throughout the day for at least 60 minutes; students know that pedometers would help them stay on track with their daily steps.
It is important that physical education is incorporated using different activities.
During these activities, the students will be tracking their steps with the fitness monitor bracelet. The students have made a goal to walk or run a minimum of five thousand steps a day.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
