My Project

I've read the novel Walk Two Moons with every 6th grade class I've taught for the last six years. Each year since, I've run into students or had them return to visit me, and nearly every one of them mentions the powerful experience of reading that Sharon Creech story.

Unfortunately, I've had to use the same 35 copies of the book for the last six years - they are literally falling apart, and my skills with packing tape go only so far!

I want to continue to share the gift of this novel with my current and future 6th grade students, but the books themselves need replaced.

At a time when lots of children are facing uncertainty and fear, the novel Walk Two Moons offers messages of strength, hope, and resilience. Those are the things that can make a difference in my students' lives.
