Wagons to Fight Food Insecurity

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting two wagons to use during food distribution at my school. I'm also asking for a step stool to store dry goods on shelves. Once a month we host a large food distribution the serves over 240 families each month. Additionally, we have partnerships with local organizations that donate fresh produce on a weekly basis to 30 families.

Students can succeed academically when they don't have to worry about being hungry!

The wagons will help transport food donations from the parking lot into the building and the stool will help get to dry goods on hard to reach shelves. The wagons and stool will make our food distributions easier to set up and break down. I appreciate any support you can offer.
