Vying for Violins - Help Beginning Violin Students
My students need 1/4 size violins to grow the program, because many students want to play the violin but are unable to purchase it.

My Students
My typical day is bouncing between teaching general music and strings. I have so many eager learners that want to play violin but are unable due to funds.
My students are typically low income and inner-city school children.
They all want to learn and are very eager to learn. I want to continue the growth of the small strings program. I an unable to start as many first and second graders that want to learn violin. We have to start at the bottom with the younger students to introduce them to the love of the violin.
My Project
The beginning violin students will come to a weekly lesson, be able to take home their instruments to practice, and perform at the winter and spring concerts. These violins will help grow the program and double the amount of current beginning violin students I have.
This project could make such a positive impact on a student's life.
This could serve as a way to help students stay out of trouble, reach goals, and to be exposed to music in a whole different way. This is also a great incentive for my students in their future as they look to high schools and colleges.
