This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a restorative response specialist my goal is to create a safe and comfortable space where my students can get materials they may need whether it be hygienic materials, school supplies or even just a snack. I want to foster a space for community healing and safety. I want to make sure they can obtain healthy habits and coping mechanisms as well as somewhere they can come to be vulnerable and welcomed. I think of all the things the important adults in my educational life were able to do for me and wish to do the same for my students.
