This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I co-teach an inclusive preschool classroom and all of my students regardless of their abilities are brilliant, hard-working, unique, and capable of learning. The children in my classroom range in their eligibilities from Speech delays, Autism, Intellectually disabilities, traumatic brain injury and other health impairments. Distance learning has increased the barriers that both typical and children with disabilities face, making it more difficult for equitable learning.

My Project

Playing with vehicles affords a wonderful opportunity for interactive play and the development of social skills such as communication and turn taking. This allows children to build confidence and establish relationships with other children and siblings, as well as enhancing language skills and building vocabulary.

Having a variety of vehicle toys to play with, allows children in my classroom the opportunity to explore their interests.

Playing with toy cars build a children's fine motor skills. They develop hand-eye coordination and dexterity in both their hands as kids pick up, carry, throw, push and pull small toy cars around. Fine motor skills are vital. These skills are built upon each other.
