Vr Voyages: From Classrooms to Galaxies

Help me give my students the chance to travel beyond our classroom walls with virtual reality experiences in space, science, and STEAM.

My Project

My Students

I teach third grade at a Title I school that serves primarily low-income families.

Across our four classrooms, we support more than 85 bright and curious students. These children are eager to explore, create, and connect their learning to the wider world. What they sometimes lack in access to resources, they more than make up for with imagination and determination.

My Project

We are requesting Meta Quest virtual reality headsets to bring “out of this world” learning opportunities into our classrooms. With VR, students can:

Explore Outer Space – Visit planets, fly through the solar system, and experience what it feels like to walk on the moon.

Take Field Trips Beyond Imagination – Dive into the ocean, climb mountains, tour ancient ruins, and travel to places they’ve only read about in books.

Engage in Science, Engineering, and STEAM – Conduct virtual experiments, explore the human body, and build creative projects in 3D environments.

Expand Horizons – VR allows students to dream big, think beyond the classroom walls, and see themselves as future scientists, engineers, explorers, and creators.

Why This Matters

At our low-income school, many families don’t have the resources to provide these kinds of experiences at home. With your support, we can give students interactive and exciting opportunities that broaden their horizons and spark a lifelong love of learning. These headsets will help students connect with the world—and beyond it—in ways that inspire curiosity, creativity, and the belief that their possibilities are endless.
