it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are a performing arts and technology school in Bronx, NY. Our students all have a desire to attend an arts school that pushes each person to grow both artistically and academically. They want to reach their full potential and make their dreams come true
Our students want to explore activities like drawing, designing, creating, coding, producing, and publishing.
As one of the few art schools in the Bronx, we try our best to create a learning environment that fosters creativity and innovation. Our school strives to nurture the artist-leader in all students.
My Project
Sometimes when people get so inspired by something, they just have to create music or sing about it. This is protest music.
Students will learn a new language and way of collaborating.
They will craft immersive experiences leveraging new emerging technologies.
It's music that encourages the sound of change and engages students to imagine a better world and take action. Students will explore immersive experiences of the historical events that inspired the protest music in all forms: classical, folk, country, reggae, pop, hip hop and rock. They will watch 360-degree performance videos of the singers and musicians behind protest music -- when a loud guitar becomes a tool for making things better for everyone.
