Volleyball Team Seeking Uniforms!

My students need new shorts and socks to complete their volleyball uniforms. Our jerseys are in good shape, but we are running low on shorts and socks.

My Students

In volleyball, the girls have to be pumped up to play and they need to look good their best while doing it! We are seven time defending champions at the Mason-Dixon Tournament and will be going to a tournament, the Spike-Out, next year in California. We are working hard to have a successful season!

We are a deaf school and a public 3A volleyball program, where we compete in the FHSAA District play and the State Series Volleyball Tournament.

We have both a Junior Varsity and Varsity program. Our JV is made up of 10 middle school girls and five high school girls. Our Varsity is comprised of 9th-12th graders. Most of the girls come in with no experience and play from middle school until they graduate. We are a K-12 school that receives funding from the state level. We are limited on what we can use the state funds for, therefore, we rely heavily on private donors for extracurricular program needs. Our program serves children from all over the state of Florida.

My Project

We have good looking jerseys. They aren't new, but they are in good shape. We try our best to take care of our uniforms and equipment, so that it last us as long as possible! Unfortunately, we are running low on volleyball shorts and socks and most of our girls are not able to afford to buy their own. The majority of our players don't even have volleyball shoes.

I require my volleyball players to maintain good grades and behavior in school and the residential program, be good role models for other students, and do community service (we do a Dig Pink Volleyball game where we donate all of the money for breast cancer research).

These items will help my team improve their volleyball skills, which will directly go back to building character as individuals.
