It is my desire to see my eager, multi-talented 8th graders produce authentic works expressed through their writing while integrating and infusing Art and STEM. As simple as it seems, many of them do not own a color printer that will publish their final products- projects, posters, critiques, essays, word art, etc ... A classroom printer with Bluetooth, scanning, and copying capabilities, designated for student use, will allow them to demonstrate their mastery in ELA concepts as well as their creativity and authentic works. The Bluetooth feature on the printer is essential in that it keeps down the possible spread of unwanted viruses and germs especially during this pandemic.
Also, ink cartridges for this printer will also be beneficial.
Thank you for your consideration and I will make sure that the fruits of their labor as well as the kindness and generosity of donors will be acknowledged and recognized.
My Project
Even if students have to learn from home, I will have a central printer that can be accessed by all of my students to submit their works and assignments.
As their instructor and facilitator of learning and achievement, I can have a tangible artifact of their work.
Also, students will be able to access a central website where all of their works can be featured. Additionally, this printer is also user-friendly for Android as well as my Apple/I-phone users, which make up the majority of my students. Accessibility, convenience and efficiency of this printer will free up my students from having to find resources and means to produce and publish their works and masterpieces.
