Voices That Matter: Empowering Young Speakers

My Project

Your support will directly impact a passionate group of inner-city students who are discovering the transformative power of speech and debate. For many of our team members, this is their first opportunity to step up to a microphone, speak in front of an audience, and feel truly heard. Donations to this project will provide essential supplies—such as timers, binders, printing materials, and travel necessities—that allow these young voices to be showcased, nurtured, and celebrated. With every dollar, you're not just funding supplies—you’re investing in courage, critical thinking, and confidence.

The goal of this project is simple but powerful: to ensure every student on our team has the tools they need to compete, grow, and thrive.

We want to level the playing field so that our students can stand proudly among peers from across the state, prepared and proud. These supplies will help students rehearse, organize, and perform at their best—allowing their ideas to shine in local and state competitions. We also hope to increase participation, reaching more students who might never have imagined themselves as public speakers or debaters until now.

What makes our students truly special is their resilience, creativity, and heart. Many of them are navigating real-world challenges beyond the classroom, yet they show up with determination, ready to tell their stories, defend their arguments, and lift each other up. They bring authenticity, boldness, and brilliance to every piece they perform. By donating, you're not only helping them compete—you’re reminding them that their voices matter. And once they believe that, there’s no limit to what they can do.
