This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students are hard-working students whose families care a lot about their success. They come from low socio-economic backgrounds, with almost every student qualifying for free or reduced lunch. Over 90 percent are Hispanic, and many of them will be the first person in their family to graduate from college.
I want to give our students the resources they need to keep them learning.
Let us think of IB and STEM education as the means of developing our greatest abilities because in each of us there is a private hope and dream which, fulfilled, can be translated into benefit for everyone and greater strength for our nation.
My Project
Our students will take an IB Internal Oral Exam and their voices need to be clearly recorded. Our students and their teachers will use the microphones to amplify voices during their testing sessions.
These resources will support students during their IB Oral Internal Assessments which will result in obtaining College Credits.
In addition, students will enjoy being able to talk in the microphones when they give their own presentations. This will support students in delivering a presentation that everyone in the room can hear and enjoy-especially those who are a little shy!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
