My Students
Please give our Middle School teenagers the opportunity to have hands-on opportunities to practice our vocational skills!
My Middle School students attend a specialized public school for students with disabilities.
They have been diagnosed with Autism, and other cognitive/physical disabilities. There are seven students in my class who require supervision, and assistance to help them further their independence in life and vocational skills. My students are visual, and tactile learners. They are best engaged in meaningful activities in which they can practice their skills. They are a wonderful group of non/limited verbal teenagers. Please give them their chance to shine!
My Project
The materials requested include a mop, shredder, vacuum, as well as other items necessary to provide these wonderful teens with the opportunity to learn and practice skills they will use in their future. Since my students are visual/tactile learners, they learn best by seeing and doing. Once given the materials to practice their vocational skills they will flourish. These skills will improve my student's self-esteem, and provide them with job placement opportunities upon graduation.
My students exhibit pride and progression once they have acquired a new skill in which they find meaningful in their every day lives.
These supplies will improve the lives of not only my students, but their families as well. Please donate to our program! Thank you!
