This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students come to school everyday eager to learn and enthusiastic about their education. They are high-achieving students in our school’s magnet program, and learn best when they are challenged in their learning. My students have have excellent oral language skills, and are working on transferring their oral language skills to their writing. Vocabulary journals are a great tool to help build my students’ academic vocabulary both orally and in writing. These vocabulary journals will be utilized to help students practice their weekly vocabulary words so that they can apply their newly acquired vocabulary words to their writing.
