Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My students are sixth grade science students in a large urban city where we have 95% free lunch. School supplies are expected to be supplied by the school. Our school does supply some basic supplies at the beginning of the school year.

My students face adversity everyday. School supplies should not be included in those adversities. My students come to me with limited experiences and vocabularies that need a boost.

With your help I can provided my students with the added tools they need to increase their vocabulary and enhance their learning experiences. Basic supplies are needed to encourage my students to be creative in how they learn. With simple things such as colored paper, transparencies, notebooks, markers, stickers, and organizational tools my students will be motivated to create new and inventive ways to demonstrate their knowledge of the vocabulary and concepts we are learning in science.

With your generosity my students will be eager to complete projects and share their knowledge with others. You would be empowering young minds to develop to their potential.
