This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In first grade, we spend a lot of time teaching vocabulary words across all subject areas. First graders need a lot of practice with these words to really understand and use them in school. My project is seeking lamination sheets, as well as gray totes and dry erase board erasers to give my students opportunities to practice vocabulary, and others skills in the classroom!

The lamination sheets will be used to laminate graphic organizers, anchor charts, sentence stems, and templates for students to access and use vocabulary across all subject areas during the day.

I will laminate the sheets to create booklets for students to access throughout the school day. Laminating them will ensure that students keep them in great condition, and I can use them throughout the course of my teaching. The gray tote cubes will be used for students to store their supplies.

Students will have access to their totes throughout the school day to get their supplies, store their supplies, and have their own space in the classroom. The dry erase erasers will allow students to practice concepts on their dry erase boards in class by showing me their practice of skills with Expo markers, and using the erasers to clear their work from their boards. These materials will support not only my students, but keep our classroom organized throughout the school year!
