My Students

I teach an amazing group of 6th grade Math and Science students who are a joy to be with each day. In our classroom we using many different strategies to learn. Many of the students prefer hands on learning and benefit from being able to manipulate the content and break the content down into smaller steps to understand it.

All students are more engaged when given the opportunity to participate with the content and show their understanding in various ways.

My Project

Movement in the classroom helps all students engage in the learning process.

With Vertical Non Permanent Surfaces being added to our classroom all students will be moving and engaged in learning at the same time by being able to show their thinking whether it is about math or science and learn from others to see what they are thinking too!

Students can work alone or in pairs to show how to solve a problem or answer a question.

Students can also personalize their learning in their classroom notebooks with notes and examples given by the teacher and be able to listen to activities independently as needed on their Chromebooks.
