This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach an amazing group of students. My students show up every day with a passion and drive to learn. They love to read and are excellent mathematicians! I have had the privilege of being able to teach these wonderful students for three years and have seen tremendous growth in each and every one of them.

The students in my class work hard and approach challenging tasks with a "can do" attitude!

They aren't afraid to try new ideas and explore multiple ways of solving problems.

My Project

Students need exposure and practice with new words to enrich their vocabulary. Wordly Wise books give students the opportunity to discover, practice, and learn new words. I am currently copying from one book and making copies for thirty students each week. This amounts to 250 pages a week!

I would like to get a book for each student along with art materials to do projects that show off all that they've learned!

Students love Wordly Wise and I have seen a difference in their vocabulary since they started using these books. I would love to continue using this resource and help students enrich their vocabulary.
