My Students
Personalize our world !! Student-centered instruction and materials enhance interest and retention of instruction. Please help my students create books, projects and other instructional materials to personalize their learning !!
My students attend school in a suburban elementary school in Florida.
They receive special education services for a variety of special needs including academic, social/emotional and behavioral. Services are delivered in a variety of settings from the general education classroom to a pull-out setting. The students range in age from five to twelve and are in grades kindergarten through fifth grade.
My Project
The pocket camera will allow us to use enhanced visuals to reach the students' special needs. We plan to do many reading activities including story retellings/re-enactments as well as instructional video to enhance learning opportunities at home. The HP printer/copier and ink will allow use to print out photos from the pocket camera to create social skill books as well as student- created narratives.
Utilizing the latest and greatest in technology will allow my students to participate in instruction that is student-driven, creative and appealing to their visual learning style.
Instructional materials and products created with the student's images serves to increase student interest and participation.
