Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Imagine never seeing a periodic table on the wall in your high school chemistry class. How much more difficult would the subject have been for you? Please help me change that for my Southern California classroom.

My students are 97% free or reduced lunch and 100% in need of a positive high school experience. The are a wonderful group of students who are willing and able to learn given the right set of conditions. A dedicated teacher. A classroom that looks like a learning environment instead of a bare walled prison. Materials. But all of this takes money. This is where a small contribution can make such a huge impact. You can help me complete the pieces of the puzzle.

I am requesting various laminated posters for my classroom including a large periodic table, a periodic table that shows pictures of all the elements, a laboratory techniques poster, a book of demonstrations I can do with my students, and some basic classroom supplies. My students are mostly visual learners, and these materials will be key to their success this year. These materials will also serve classrooms of students for years to come.

Just a small donation can make the world of difference in a classroom like mine. Thank you for using DonorsChoose. It is a wonderful program that has begun to shape the lives of my students in the classroom. Please consider helping to keep the momentum going. Thank you.
