Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a part of a special education program called Preschool for All Learners (PAL). They all present developmental delays but that does not delay their curiosity in learning.
My students are exceptional and providing them with the proper materials to reach milestones is one of my goals as a teacher especially during remote learning.
Distant learning is the new norm and unfortunately my students are learning far away from me. We didn't get to formally say goodbye to each other at the end of the school year, we didn't get to have an Easter egg hunt, we didn't have a preschool culmination but I did get to see their excitement on the screen when we all got together. I am trying to provide my students with resources they could use at home that will continue to stimulate their learning.
My Project
Due to distance learning I need to provide my students with worksheets to do at home. I prefer my students to have color worksheets; and the ink will be used to print out pictures that will allow my preschoolers to see contrast and brightness in objects. Colorful pictures are more interesting and beneficial for preschoolers to see the hint of reality and depth. The importance of having color worksheets is to allow my students to visually learn and communicate with the visuals. Ink will be used for their worksheets based on vocabulary, literacy, math, social stories, and other subject areas.
