This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

So far, a lot of my students have been very present, and willing to learn even with the challenges of Distance Learning. Their resiliency, and persistent effort shows me that even though this year is going to be quite different they're up for the challenge.

This quote is one that I feel correlates with the current educational space that we're in. First there needs to be a bridge that is interpersonal to develop community. And then another bridge would be how to close the gap for all students to be truly engaged.

My Project

Distance learning has challenged students to adapt to different learning styles, and platforms. Due to the wide-range of learning capabilities from my students I've noticed that most students do better when work is written out for them. Thus, use of document camera would be beneficial.

This allows me to get creative, and quickly annotate in a way that gives students ample amount of time to follow the flow of lesson(s), and I can support their ideas in writing.

Furthermore, other students can see what their peers are thinking, and grow in their learning.
