Help me give my students the opportunity to experience science investigations up close and personal, even while distance learning, with this new ELMO STEM Cam Visualizer!
Our students are capable, bright, and enthusiastic learners who look forward to coming to school every day. We are a small neighborhood school in an urban community. Many of our students face challenges at an early age that most people never experience. It is not an exaggeration to say that, for many, coming to school every day is a lifesaver. Given the right tools, I know that they will succeed, and I am excited to give them opportunities to shine.
Because of the current health crisis, many of our students have gone without emotional and academic support for far too long.
When we return to the classroom, virtually, I want to be able to give them the same quality of education they would receive if they were sitting in front of me.
These amazing kids have overcome so much adversity and are excited to come to school every single day! Any help that you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for your support!
My Project
The use of hands-on math and science activities is almost a daily activity in my classroom. My kiddos learn best and retain information by experiencing things for themselves and learning to ask questions about the world around them.
Distance learning has made the utilization of hands-on math and science investigations all but impossible without the use of a document camera.
From home, my students do not have the resources or parental guidance to complete science investigations on their own. During class time, we frequently form groups and utilize classroom materials to perform investigations in both math and science but now that students are participating from home, we have to get creative about how we help them continue these experiences.
By donating to our project, you will be providing my students with valuable experiences that will help them to better understand and make sense of the world around them. Students will be able to stay actively engaged because they will be able to be a part of what is happening virtually.
