My Project
Visual timers are an essential part of any classroom! Timers help students stay on task and help our more visual learners transition more independently. We would like new large timers for whole class use, and small timers for individual students and small groups to use.
Imagine a student who needs frequent breaks between assignments, but can't visualize when that break is over.
A timer helps them see that they have three more minutes until they have to start their next assignment. Timers can also be used for the whole class during literacy or math warm-up activities, or for students who tend to eat slowly at snack (so they can see how much more time they have to finish). And this is just the beginning; we use timers all day long, with all of our students, for so many different tasks. Please help us get more. We've had so many break or just wear out over the years.
