Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are a diverse group of preschoolers who range in age from three years old to five years old. In our district we have a preschool program that partners typical peers with students with disabilities.

Our school has a group of ethnically diverse learners and many of them come from very low socioeconomic backgrounds.

My students have worked so hard these last couple of years during the pandemic to overcome challenges with online learning and with the loneliness associated with this pandemic. They are excited to be back in school and learning.

My Project

We have been busy printing, cutting, laminating, and re-cutting out visual supports, visual schedules, behavioral supports, and colorful materials for our students. We are in need of more ink for our printer and quality laminating sheets to create more materials for our little learners.

My students need access to visual supports to help in the understanding of language and they need pictures to help them communicate as some of my students are non-verbal.

My students rely heavily on visual schedules to help them know what their day is going to look like.
