This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

When it comes to teaching, having a set of tools for a special area, for kids to breathe, is incredibly important. That’s where Calm Down Corners come in! They are a small, designated area in my classroom where kids can decompress and try to relax when they are feeling overwhelmed.

I want to provide my students with some accessories in our calming corner for them to relax.

We need ink to print out the calming strategies and posters. The stools will provide students flexible seating options when they need to control their body. Our calming corner needs to be equipped with inviting and colorful visual effects to promote mindfulness, breathing and reflection.
