Help me give my students a document camera so we can closely analyze readings and share in the writing process as a class.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Welcome to my classroom of inspired and highly motivated students! I am a 4th-grade teacher who works in a school located in the South Bronx. My students are my children and I work hard to give them my all. They want to see what the world has to offer, so I deliver it to them inside and outside of the classroom with hands-on experience and interactive lessons. You name it, and they will have it. Kids First, High Expectations and No Excuses!
My Project
Using a document camera for language arts can open up new opportunities to teach close reading analysis and the writing process. I would be able to use the document camera to enhance my students' writer's notebook by demonstrating the process of recording ideas and editing our work. I would be able to use the document camera to project important passages from a text that we are reading as a class and I can model how to annotate the passage and use context clues.
Having a document camera during my history lessons would give me the ability to analyze sources together as a class.
I would be able to zoom in on important components of a photograph or text and can invite students to the document camera to annotate pictures. I would also be able to share maps in books easily with students, in color. I think my favorite use of the document camera would be allowing me to spotlight and share exemplar student work.
With the rise of COVID-19 cases, a lot of my students have had to stay home to quarantine. With the document camera, I can record my lessons and the documents that we are using to aid in my teaching.
