This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are all freshmen students who are in a biology course or AP environmental course. They are living on the southeast side of Chicago and attending a neighborhood high school. Some of the students have special needs but thrive while working alongside the other students in the classroom.

The students love learning and come to science class eager to gain new knowledge every day.

They really enjoy learning about current science topics, learning from videos and graphics, and watching videos that accompany their readings.

My Project

Learning about agriculture practices, population control around the world, and the way the endocrine system works in our body are not easy topics to grasp!

These infographics bring these scientific topics to life!

Instead of small, black and white, printed inforgraphics; the students will have crisp-colored infographics in a beautiful book!

There are a variety of topics in the curriculum that the students from urban Chicago do now know about. These 2 science infographic books allow the students to learn about these topics in a more engaging way.

Infographics are a current way of viewing information in today's world, and it is important the students learn how to approach these. This is a skill that future college students and consumers need to gain during their high school career.
