This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My wonderful students have been able to express themselves through the various art work done in my class. Once my students enter my classroom, I try to erase all of the worries and get them involved in rigorous but fun art projects! The goal is always to get everyone engaged but most importantly to have fun. Mistakes are bound to happen but I always tend to encourage my students to never give up and to continue on pushing to the end. And that’s what I love, the fact that no one ever gives up no matter how hard it gets.
My Project
My goal is to allow my students to express their emotions and words through their art. I know that sometimes it is very difficult for students to express what they are feeling verbally. So my goal is to allow every single student the ability to express how they feel through their artwork. May that be on how they decide to create their Dreamcatcher or the rain stick. No goal is too difficult to overcome when you have an outlet to help you. Also, sometimes all the kids really need is an exciting new project to take their mind off of the stresses of the real world.
