My Students

My students range from Kindergartners to 5th graders. Some have lived in the states since birth, some a few years, and several who have just arrived and do not speak or understand English at all.

My students are intelligent, capable and have the desire to learn but struggle with a language barrier.

My Project

This year has been a challenge, teaching virtually and face 2 face. I am in need of a document camera to help my lessons run more smoothly and effectively for my students. The biggest advantage that a document camera will have as a tool for distance learning is that it will help students feel as if they’re in the room with me. Utilizing a document camera will allow me to use real documents live with my students. This can mean more freedom, creativity, and spontaneity. I will be able to share the reading text, do annotations, demonstrations, and modeling in real time. The document camera will help me easily incorporate objects into my lesson so students will be able to see them, even in their finest detail. Everything can all be shared live over a remote internet connection.
