Our virtual students are hard-working students who are motivated to accomplish reading goals. Since they are virtual, it is difficult sometimes to reward them with special treats and prizes. With online gift cards, they can easily purchase items they are interested in, enjoy, or need to be successful.
We also reward virtual students for positive behavior for such things as completing assignments on time, participating in monthly online events after hours, and attending class regularly.
At this time, we can only reward them with online rewards such as virtual field trips, or free time to play a game. With gift cards, they get something physical they can keep or use.
