This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My young learners and parents have had to adjust to distance learning as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic. My young learners are now learning from home through this new digital platform utilizing what materials they have in the home as a resource.
These unprecedented times have changed how we teach but it shouldn't change our young learners' love of learning.
My Project
I will be utilizing the books and the felt pieces that go along with the stories during my virtual reading sessions. This will enhance story comprehension, aid in language development, and build students' vocabulary. These materials will help facilitate student learning by providing visuals as I read the book.
I will be using the books and felt pieces in this project during my virtual reading session to provide my young learners with enrichment and aid in reading fluency.
This will help my young learners in kindergarten as they embark on a world of reading comprehension activities.
