Virtual STEM Activities for Future Women Scientists

My Students

My all-girl students are a dedicated group of high schoolers who are college-bound. Taking my science classes requires a drive and desire to learn that they show day in and day out. They have a hunger to succeed.

As a group of young 21st century female Philadelphians, they are the best and brightest of today looking to make a better tomorrow at home and beyond.

They look to school as a refuge and a resource and deserve the best school experience possible.

My Project

In order for my students and the students of two other teachers to have the best access to virtual materials for remote classes as diverse as 9th-grade Biology, Environmental Science, AP Biology, IB Biology, and AP Environmental Science they need access to Explore Learning's Gizmos. By having these virtual STEM activities available to students, we will be able to engage students with simulations, STEM case studies, and virtual labs that could not be done otherwise in the current remote teaching environment.

The students of my high school for girls deserve the same technology that any student at another school in the country should have.

These virtual simulations and labs will bring the prospective doctors, engineers, geneticists, pharmacists, and astronauts, among many, many other possibilities, closer to their desired goal of success.
